FAQs
HOW LONG WILL THE TAN LAST?
The tan will last for ~4-6 days and should fade evenly. The color will be most intense the first day. If your skin is glowing more intensely than desired, take a shower. This won’t wash away the tan, but it will neutralize the ‘glow’ of your skin.
WILL IT FADE EVENLY
Yes! Just make sure the application is somewhat even. If you want to go above and beyond, exfoliate your skin before application. This will help remove dead skin cells. If you have large patches of dead skin cells prior to application, your tan in these areas will generally fade faster.
WILL IT STAIN MY CLOTHES OR SHEETS?
Nope! Our products don’t contain any added colors or dyes. The tan is 100% natural. They won’t stain your clothes, sheets, or anything else. You might notice that your skin is mildly sticky after application. This is from the botanical moisturizing ingredients that are pulling water from the atmosphere into your skin.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Erythrulose and Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) are the active tanning ingredients in the product. Both work by reacting with the amino acids in the skin's outermost layer to produce a temporary browning effect, simulating a natural tan.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO APPLY IT?
It’s best to apply the product after you’ve showered and before you go to bed. Avoid showering or working out for a couple of hours after you apply the product.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I APPLY IT?
You can apply multiple layers to continue darkening your tan. We recommend no more than one application every-other-day so that you can monitor your tan’s development before applying again.
